Vice President, Gas T&D Construction
Peter Kenny is Vice President of Gas Transmission and Distribution Construction. In his role, Peter oversees a large field-based organization that is responsible for safely and efficiently executing work across 70,000 square miles of PG&E’s service area. In addition, he oversees PG&E’s Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) assets, Standards Engineering, and Asset Knowledge Management for Gas Operations. This includes 32 CNG fueling stations, Methods and Practices, Mapping, Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) Engineering, and Geographic Information Systems.
Peter began his career at Brooklyn Union Gas and has nearly 30 years of experience in the utility industry. Prior to joining PG&E in 2012, Peter held several different leadership roles for National Grid, whose service area spanned multiple states. In addition to his leadership roles, he served as the process owner for welding and non-destructive examination. Throughout his career, Peter has been instrumental in improving performance in employee and contractor safety.
Peter holds a Bachelor’s degree in Leadership and Organizational Studies from Saint Mary’s College and completed the Tuck Advanced Management Program at Dartmouth. Additionally, Peter serves on the Construction Operations Committee for the American Gas Association (AGA).
