Keith F. Stephens is vice president of Corporate Relations and Chief Communications Officer at Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
He oversees internal and external communications for all of the company’s functions. This includes responsibility for media relations, marketing, advertising, customer communications, employee and executive communications and PG&E’s social media channels.
He was promoted to his current role in 2018. Stephens joined PG&E in 2014 as senior director, Operations Communications, and oversaw communications for the Electric, Gas, Generation, Nuclear, Customer Care, Safety & Health, Human Resources and IT organizations, as well as communications for legal, legislative and regulatory matters.
With 25 years of communications, marketing and public affairs expertise, Stephens has held increasingly senior leadership roles at several companies and firms. Prior to joining PG&E, Stephens spent eight years leading external communications for Fluor Corporation, one of the world's largest publicly traded engineering and construction firms. He also spent more than a decade at large, international public affairs firms Burson-Marsteller and Edelman.
Stephens began his career as a bilingual public affairs liaison in Geneva, Switzerland, where he worked for the International Telecommunications Union, a United Nations-specialized agency. He holds Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations from Brigham Young University and a master's degree in journalism from Baylor University.
