Our company today faces unprecedented challenges, and we have lost the trust of many in the communities that we serve. Some of our challenges stem from situations where our conduct fell short of our high ethical standards. Our stakeholders — including our customers, regulators, shareholders and fellow employees — deserve better, and we must work to re-earn their trust.


To help us do this, every PG&E employee and contractor should understand and live up to the expectations and requirements laid out in our Code of Conduct. Please take the time to read the Code and bring it to life in your role at PG&E every day.


The Code explains important workplace expectations in areas such as honesty and integrity, ftness for duty, conficts of interest, intellectual property, confidential information, communication with customers and the public, and interaction with the government.


I want to call out one area in particular where we must do better: living our speak-up culture. To become the company we want to be, we need every employee to feel confident speaking up about their ideas and concerns. Please know that PG&E’s leadership team is committed to listening up and following up.


I also want to make clear that no employee should ever be subject to retaliation for speaking up. PG&E has a strict non-retaliation policy, and we will not tolerate retaliation in any form.
